The MPS HV Gas-Cap-Powerswitch switches voltages in the range from 15V to 70V (5S to 16S LiPo). It is suitable for 3 Ampere permanent current and up to 15 ampere peak current.
Switching is made by plugging or unplugging the magnet into/from the funnel-shaped opening of the MPS HV Gas-Cap-Powerswitch.
When using with the PowerCube HBS Hybrid Battery Supply (item no. PC4000) the MPS HV Gas-Cap-Powerswitch must be mounted between the R/C model's drive battery and the HBS module. So the charging progress of the receiver battery via the drive battery in "Full Hybrid" mode can be started or stoppd by unplugging/plugging the magnet.
Hereby the charging progress of the receiver battery can be started without supplying the drive with voltage from the drive battery. When using the MPS HV Gas-Cap-Powerswitch the spark usually occuring when plugging the drive battery will be prevented.

ATTENTION: The switching off process of MPS HV Gas-Cap-Powerswitch works with a dry reed contact. Dry reed contacts can be influenced by magnet fields. It is possible that the MPS HV Gas-Cap-Powerswitch switches off temporarily when exposed to a very strong magent field (i. g. electric drive). Current-carrying cables generate a magnet field. So please run all cables which are carrying a high current (>100A) with a distance of at least 3cm (1.18in) from the MPS HV Gas-Cap-Powerswitch.
